Does anyone know where I can purchase one of the Alaska Tours Savers books that is so often referred to? We're planning a trip and I understand some of the coupons are worth the cost of the book. Thanks!

www.toursaver.com If going outside of May and early June. There is a big market for used books. Just list you wanting one on message boards, OR if going in the early season, you probably can sell your copy.

You can get the books at www.toursaver.com for $99.95. Or, you can buy them in Alaska at Carrs grocery stores. They won't take American Express on the website, but they will at the grocery store. Same price (no tax, either). You make your money back by taking the denali fliteseeing trip or the kenia fiords tour. Both are more than $100. Probably not a good idea to wait until you get here to get one, especially if you need to plan in advance. But we found out about the book LATE and thank GOODNESS the stores are open 24 hours.

Actually, there are taxes in areas that have borough or municipality sales taxes -- so if you're buying it locally, do it in Anchorage.

You can make your reservations without having the actual coupon and it is highly recommended on some due to very limited supply. Verify ALL restrictions for coupons of interest BEFORE purchasing.
