Alaska August 2008
 

Hi!

I have just moved over from the Africa site (after a great safari) and we are now planning to go to Alaska for the first two weeks in August 2008. We want to see wildlife and the husband wants to do a little river fishing. We will be renting a car.

So the question is, after doing our first few nights at Brooks Falls (gotta see those bears) where would you recommend we head to next on the coast? Kodiak looks interesting, any thoughts? Is it worth staying at the lodge in Glacier Bay? We both are open to more remote, out of the way places as well.
