Heard today that Alaska Airlines will start flights to Oahu and Kauai from Seattle later this fall.

I'm wondering if they are going to do Hawaii instead of Cancun from SFO.

And, are the Hawaii flights seasonal like their Mexico ones are?

And, are the Hawaii flights seasonal like their Mexico ones are?

Not the Seattle ones; they also are starting an Anchorage-Honolulu flight which supposedly will be seasonal.

Note their intro fares are extremely cheap SEA-HNL and SEA-LIH - like $220 round trip.

So for us AK residents, we choose a lower rate on Hawaiian Vacations, no mileage, or go with Alaska for a couple hundred more and miles..as other cities with HV service too.

the award miles are surprisingly low for Hawaii, but I suspect that will change with the glut of award mileage out there.
