Is the car rental office located near the terminals at SFO?

Alamo is located near the other major car rental offices on the grounds of SFO.

You'll need to take the AirTrain to the rental car center to pick up the car.

Consider renting the car off airport to save $$$. We took BART into SF and then picked up a car in Union Sq. We saved all the airport fees and got a great price. We then dropped the car off at SFO when we left and had no extra fee for that. We Rented with Dollar, and they do not charge one way drop off fees.

BART is easy to do, even with luggage.

My experience (6+ times /yr) is that Dollar is consistently the lowest price rental car co in SFO, or downtown SF locations.
