Aladdin vs TI

We are going back to Vegas in early April and are looking at either of these two resorts, neither of which I have stayed in. Would love to hear pros and cons(rooms/food/pool) as I know both are going through or have gone through changes in the past few years. I know Planet Hollywoood bought Aladdin has the theming changed as of yet? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do either of these have gyms as well need a treadmil if I am going to eat at buffets LOL..

Both are OK, although Aladdin certainly has a more central location. www.cheapovegas.com has funny reviews which are very good.

They have not changed the theme yet at the Aladdin. They are starting to make minor changes, (changed the mattress') to the same as those at Westin properties. One thing nice about the Aladdin is if you valet park, you do not have to walk through any part of the casino to get to your room. That is if you valet park only, self park you will have to go through their shops to get to the elevators. But for the few bucks it is well worth it to valet if for anything else the convenience and ease of entering your room from the car/drive. Kids can be hit or miss at any properties, you should be ok in early April, Easter will be a few weeks later and that is when our local school district goes on Spring Break. All major properties have gyms in them, they do charge, and it is a ridiculous fee usually about $15-25 a day to use their gyms.

Treasure Island is nicer in terms of rooms etc., as they just underwent a major renovation recently, but I prefer the Alladin simply because of the location. I like Paris and the Bellagio and NY and that end better, and TI is really far down . . . I think food is pretty similiar in both places and haven't used either pool.

We stayed at the Aladdin this weekend and it's a dump. I wasted my starwood points on a free room there. I would rather have paid full price on a nicer hotel. The location is great, but the bedding was shabby, our bath towels had holes in them, and the renovations are extremely inconvenient (imagine shooting craps with a construction crew trying to manuever their machinery around you - no exaggeration). The staff is blah, the casino is blah, everything about it is ho-hum. I haven't stayed at TI in a few years, but it has to be better than Aladdin.
