Aladdin in Vegas
 

How is the Aladdin hotel in Las Vegas...let me know the good, the bad, and the ugly....thanks

Michele <BR> <BR>We stayed at the Aladdin hotel this year and absolutely loved it!! Rooms were huge, especially the bathoom!! We were upgraded to a Resort room which is bigger than standards rooms. Our room even overlooked the Bellagio Fountains. Definetly ask for an upgrade to a Resort room. Spice Market Buffet was o.k. (pricey) Shops were nice. Jazz club is nice. The only negative is when leaving the front of the hotel there will be someone trying to sell you a timeshare. That got annoying, but other than that, everything was really nice. <BR>Have Fun!

We thought their buffet was wonderful. I know it is $20+ for dinner, but the quality of the food was very good.

We thought the Aladdin was GORGEOUS!! The rooms were quite large, bathroom was marble and HUGE!! We had a resort room on the 11th floor. We could see the fountains at Bellagio from our room. <BR>Be sure to ask for a room facing the fountains. That was a nice tough. Closet space a bit small, but still worth it! <BR>Great location on the strip! I would say go for it.. <BR>Buffet expensive, but I personally prefer the Rio's buffet anyways.

Anyone else out there get the feeling that 'jan' and 'pam' are the same person? <BR>Same writing style, same strange "[email protected]" e-mail address (who puts a dot in the prefix before the "@"?)

Our experience was not the same as the previous posters. We go to Las Vegas at least once a year - and we will never stay at the Aladdin again. We did have a room overlooking the fountains (the good thing) - and the room was large - BUT, it was not clean, especially the bathroom. Also, the people in the casino were actually rude (I've never experienced that anywhere else in Las Vegas) plus there were MANY children. Other than that, it was great...

For sleeping purposes, I don't know. <BR> <BR>For gaming purposes, the Aladdin has to have the ugliest "new" casino in LV. Went there, and left after 5 minutes or so. It was really bad. The Paris next door, or the Bellagio across the street are WAY better. <BR> <BR>For shopping purposes, it's OK.

I have a funny feeling that the positive messages sound like a hotel troll. <BR> <BR>Check out past posts in this forum and at www.lvol.com -- hardly any positive reviews on this hotel, staff, and service.

EXACTLY!!!! <BR> <BR>Bitterpants and Ed and Jean are saying what I've been thinking all along. <BR> <BR>Would someone really go to the trouble of posting phony praise of a hotel? <BR> <BR>I think "Wondering" was right, though. <BR> <BR>What's up with this fake praise? It makes me think about being suspicious of other posts on other topics. Sad.

Jean -- walked OUT of Paris' casino after a short while as well! I would say it's a TAD bit better than Alladin's, but not much! Very UNIMPRESSIVE!! Bellagio's is CLASSIC!!

Len: <BR> <BR>At least the Paris doesn't have that ugly lamp in the middle of the casino...(I rubbed it over and over and nothing happened... go figure:) <BR> <BR>Bellagio is indeed quite nice, though since I had much better luck at Paris (and stayed there and got a free upgrade to a very nice suite), I guess my heart is there... <BR> <BR>And turning $30 into $300 really helps my heart...

I was very impressed with the Aladdin Resort. We really liked the set-up, shops, dining, and entertainment. Rooms are very nice and spacious. <BR>I would say go for it! You don't know till ya try.

O.K. Smarty pants. So this means Ed & Len must be the same person because they use there name and xxx.xxx.x as there e-mail address. I tell you, this board is becoming a pick on traveler forum.. Fodors is going to lose a lot of there daily users because of smart mouth, ignorant people who have nothing else better to do but to screen posts all day!!!!

The Alladin got savaged in this month's Esquire. I would agree with their assessment.

Mark my words: the Aladdin will be bankrupt or sold for cents on the dollar within 5 years. <BR>No way it will survive short of one of those scenarios. <BR>

The Aladdin is truly gorgeous in a specatcle of its own. Ignore the other posts, go to Aladdin great rates, food, entertainment and accomadations. YOU won't be sorry!

Aladdin's a flop compared to the other newer, upscale hotels on the strip. <BR>There are obviously a bunch of *shills* on this board touting Aladdin for some external interest.

Simply lovely facility. Go! Go! GO! <BR>Igonore the rest, and go to one of the bests! ALADDIN!!!!!!!oooohh***
