AIRPORTS?

We are soon going to buy our airline tickets to Florida. Are there any other International Airports besides Orlando and Tampa. We will be flying from the U.K.
Thanks alot for your help.

Miami and Ft Lauderdale (Hollywood International) to name two. There may be others as well.

Thanks Scigirl.
But what others are there. Do you think Orlando is the most central one. We would prefer to fly somewhere quite central, as we will be touring Florida and haven't decided where to start yet.
Thanks again.

The Florida peninsula is not very wide. so it really doesn't matter which airport! Orlando is indeed the most central, but Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Tampa are all good choices as well. Go with the best fares. I suspect each airport has many flights from the UK.

Orlando is Central Florida, Tampa is to the West of Orlando on the West Coast. Miami is the southernmost, Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood airport is North of Miami and South of Orlando by 3 1/2 hours (by car). Palm Beach Int'l. Airport is further north of Ft. Lauderdale and Florida and still about 3 hours by car to Orlando. You'd do best to either start down south and move upwards and to the middle arrive in Miami, for example and leave in Orlando. Otherwise you'll be going up and down the state and seeing the same things just to get back to your original destination. Best of luck.

oops, that was ment to be, I think it will be Orlando. I also forgot to ask is Sandford an International Airport and is it any good?
Thanks

I don't believe Sanford is an international airport no. And Florida is not that wide but it is AWFULLY LONG. If you travel south to north it takes HOURS upon hours. I think it took us about 9 hours to get from Miami to alachua, Florida near the Georgia border.

Brittania and a couple other British charters use Sanford. Check for specials at www.cheapflights.com.
