Airport Immigration Question.

I've been to the US in September and I unintentionally told a lie about how I met the friend I was visiting. Now I am going back in December, I am scared they noted by answers. Does anyone know if they keep a record of what you say?

How do you "unintentionally" tell a lie? Somebody asked you that at Immigration? You must have looked or acted very suspicious. Do you have that "European Red" hair by any chance?

No, they don't make notes about what they asked you but then again how would any of us who are US citizens know that for sure?

Hang around; the "experts" as well as the "government surveillance" people will be here soon.

Everything you say is memorized by the agent who will no doubt be the same person interviewing you on your next trip.

I plan on telling unintentional lies all the time.

The fact that they were asking you these questions must mean that you stand out as a potential problem - so expect a lot of questions again. Visiting a friend versus staying in a hotel or hostel is one thing that makes them suspicious.

I would make sure you don't tell any more "unintentional" lies. And have a return ticket, proof of funds and a good reason to demo why you are going home - back to a job or school or whatever.
