airport check-in for Paris LV

Should I use the check-in at the airport or wait until arrive at Paris Hotel? I am hoping to get a "p" room on high floor or maybe ask for free upgrade to a suite if available, so where would my chances be best? Thanks!

Debbie:
I used the airport check in for Paris last June.
Polite and smiling :)
When told that a room would not be available until after one and would that be ok? I stated no problem, we'll do some sightseeing first. Is a P Room possible?
You should have seen my face when we got to the room. Love it 16th floor P Room
That was speedo's suggestion from this forum and was I glad we got it.good luck and have a great trip!
Debbie:
I forgot to mention, because we were not able to get the key right away, we were told to go to the "invited guests" check in desk at the hotel. We arrived about 5PM to a VERY crowded Reception. We walk by and had our room keys in minutes.

Not that I'm staying there but curiosity kills.... what is a P room?

"P" room is a parlour room, it is a corner room with two windows. Hope I get a chance to see one for myself. Thanks for the help everyone.
