Airlines~best deals in and out of Boston
 

Going in March, need advice as to how you get the best flight in and out of Boston. Checking in to make sure I'm not missing anything.
Heck, while I'm at it, what hotel/B&B could you suggest? Thanks. First thing that comes to your mind. (except a question...answers only)

Where do you live?

Ok, I have the flight. Now, the B&B or hotel. Prefer something near the MTBA.

The Four Seasons is one of the loveliest hotels in Boston, in a beautiful setting located right across from the Public Garden and just a block or two from the T.

what's your budget for hotel or B&B? How many days will you be here?

(And yes, please tell us where you're coming from.)

My budget is: Cheap, but like to be happily surprised by the places I stay. !

Coming from Denver. Staying for the weekend.

I am an airline employee, so I'll fly space available on JetBlue outbound, and bought a tkt on JB for the return. Essentially will be there for a full Saturday and Sunday. I'll keep checking in.

I am excited about this trip, and then today, heard from my cousin in NYC, so I'm going there 2 weeks later.

The website doesn't highlight this - perhaps because they're afraid visitors will assume there's a noise problem (which there usually isn't) - but it's steps from the Charles St. MBTA stop.

I wish I would have labeled this differently. OK, I looked at the Johnjeffries website. Will you advise if this is near the Itallian part of Boston? I need to go to mapquest....

Hey Bostonians....do you have a suggestion for a great second-hand shop? I am in the market for used homemade afghans. I've been washing them, then donating to Humane Society and/DAV/homeless groups....please comment freely.

Gypsy - The J Jeffries is on the west side of Beacon Hill, next to the river. The Italian section usually refers to the "North End" which is all the way on the other side of downtown (although some of the best Italian restaurants are now elsewhere).

If you can get your browser to zoom in on this map http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/natio...boston_map.jpg you should see the layout pretty well. The J Jeffries is near Mass General Hospital (it was originally a nurses residence).

I have also stayed at the Newbury Guest House on Newbury Street - it's pretty central but a bit pricier. I loved the atmosphere and appointments, but sometimes the smell of Thai food in the elevator (several rooms are above a Thai restaurant) got to me.

For your purposes, I'd think the J Jeffries might work best, but of course I can't know what your tastes are.
