Airline and rental car...?

Is it less money to get a car with your airline ticket than doing it separately?
Flying into San Jose and return from Sacramento to San Diego.Using Southwest Airlines.

Thank you.

You need to compare rates. From one rental car company to the next on the same days can be 300% price difference.

Using SW's corporate deal might save you drop fee and mileage charge on a one way which is a very big deal.

If you have AAA, be sure and mention.

You just have to check it out several ways. No way to tell. I always price a car on Hotwire for all the added fees in a given airport.

We have always used Enterprise but usually from someone's house where they pick us up...ok will do that.

I think that the Dollar rentals in San Francisco area may not have a one way drop off fee.
