Airfares

We just got back from Europe. Flew round trip to Frankfurt from Austin, Texas, and only paid $400 rt each. Now, we want to go to Charlotte, South Carolina August 30 and return September 5 and don't want to pay more than we did to go to Europe. However, we got those tickets through Priceline.com and I know that if I tell them the dates we could be flying before dawn cracks or after midnight. Any suggestions?

Don't you mean Charlotte, NORTH Carolina?
What airlines service Austin? You may have a problem, since I doubt there is a "convenient" way of flying from Austin to Charlotte.
If you "join" websites of several airlines as well as some travel websites, they regularly email you specials from your particular airport(s).

I meant Charleston, SOUTH Carolina, and I don't want to fly there from Austin, but from San Antonio. Also, after doing a bit of checking with Travelocity, it looks like I'd be better flying into Atlanta, GA, and then driving from there. I want to end up in Columbia, SC, but very few if any airlines fly in there.

It is a long drive to Charleston from Atlanta - 5 hours minimum (there's no good direct route. Columbia's about 3-3.5 hours.

Pleased to let anyone interested know that I just got my roundtrip tickets from San Antonio to Columbia, S.C. for only $180 through Priceline.com.
