Airfare secrets

Tip 1: I read that Wednesday morning at 1:00 AM is the best time to book cheap airfares online. Ticketing agencies and airlines consolidate their reservations on Tuesday afternoons. Any under-booked flights or open seats will be discounted on Wednesday morning. And since they load the information online on Tuesday night, you can get the lowest fares on Wednesday mornings. Can someone confirm this? I did it for my recent European trip and it was cheapest on Wednesday when I checked the airfare. But one incident doesn't mean it's a trend.

Tip 2: Travel to Europe during AMERICAN holidays. I went to Belgium during Thanksgiving break and it was perfect. All the stores in Brussels were open for business and there were no mad rushes in the international terminals. And the airfare was way cheaper than summer when it's peak tourism season. Ditto for Spring Break (March). Summer is probably the most expensive and stressful time to travel to Europe.
