Airfare: Boston to Phoenix
I will be attending a wedding in mid-March in Phoenix and I am seeking advice on the best time to book my airfare. The airfares from Boston to Phoenix currently seem to be in the $300-400 range and I wonder if I should grab this while I can, or if there is any chance the prices might go down later? I generally am willing to pay a little extra for convenient/comfortable flying times but I would like to keep the cost of this flight down as much as possible. Thank you for any advice you can offer me.

Did you look at PVD - Phoenix? Usually a good rate, if you can leave out of PVD

On Southwest, PVD - Phoenix is 79 each way on March 15

Thanks EmilyC! I checked Manchester, NH instead of Providence since it is a bit closer to me and found the $79 fare but unfortunately, the return trip is a problem. I'd be flying back on Sunday and the cheapest fares are sold out. The available fares are $270+ and that brings the round trip cost to about $384 and the flights would be about 8 hours long. For only $40 more, I can leave out of Boston (Logan is about 15 minutes from my house and I don't have to pay for parking, versus 1 hour drive for Providence or Manchester plus parking costs) and fly nonstop to Phoenix in about 5 hours. If I'm going to be up in the $400 range anyway, I'd rather do that. :)
