air show advice please..

Due to budget trimming on the military side, our family's tradition of seeing the USAF air show in Anchorage or Fairbanks this summer is cancelled. I'd like to find an alternative locale, maybe for mid July and after. I'd prefer to keep it in the western or southwest part of the US, although I'm open to exploring a new area too.
Thanks for your help. Both my boys are into this, one wants to be in the Air Force, the other wants to be a Navy Seal, so this is pretty important to them, J.

In early September there is the Oregon Air Show in Hillsboro, Oregon (just west of Portland). The USAF will be participating.

In early August there is SeaFair in Seattle. The Blue Angels perform and there are a variety of Naval and Coast Guard ships.

One of the biggest shows in the world is the Abbotsford (BC) show in August - http://www.abbotsfordairshow.com/

Combine it with a vacation in Vancouver and/or Seattle and you've got a great holiday.

If October isn't too late, there's the Miramar Air Show in San Diego. Great show every year and the Blue Angels will be here as usual.

Thanks for the good leads. BC may be a good option, since it's close and we love the NW. Thanks again, J.
