Air Consolidators?

I'm curious to here from anyone who has purchased and/or used airline tickets purchased via a consolidator.

No refunds..change fees are steep..not all credit cards accepted. Very strict. Sometimes the prices work out..sometimes they dont'. I find the published airfare (or web fares) are usually cheaper. Be picky about the consolidator. SO many dot coms are going under. Weigh your options..convenience versus cheap & strict then make your decision. If the fare is $50 difference, I'd buy a published fare.Sometimes the consolidator ticket can be 1000 savings. IN that case, make it work and take the ticket. Also not all consolidator tickets allow mileage. I'm not against consolidator tickets, but not everyone is aware of the loopholes.

Air consolidators are a great way to save money. However you must be very selective in using only reputable companies. I am a home-based travel consultant and I only use companies that belong to the U.S. Air Consolidators Association. They have to go by certain regulations. Some work with the public, some only through travel agents. www.gosmartravel.com
