Afternoon Tea in Orlando

I want to take a friend out for a nice afternoon tea soon when we are in Orlando for the day. Am considering the Grand Floridian. Has anyone had tea there, or is there another hotel that serves tea you can suggest?<BR>Thanks,<BR>Lucy

Hi, my daughter was there last weekend, stayed at the GF and had tea every afternoon, loves it! I will get her to post her own review, but from what she tells me every time she goes to Orlando, they serve a great tea- you should try it at least once~Have fun!

I have been to the Grand Floridian as well with my daughter 3 times over the years and found it to be wonderful. It was very relaxing as we listened to piano music in the back ground. Try it.

Another YES! vote for the G.F. tea!

I hope this isn't too dumb a question, but how formal is the tea at the GF? Orlando is generally informal, but high tea generally isn't, so I'm stumped...help!

The table setting is quite formal. The dress code is not. But I don't recall seeing people in jeans. Most made an effort at a step above, but I'm sure some come straight from the parks as I don't recall any dress code.

There is no dress code for the tea at Grand Floridian. We went in October and were in jeans. We say some people in shorts and some others in dresses.
