After broadway, with teens....
Any suggestions for after the show? Thought about the top of the Marriott for dessert, but someone told me they don't allow minors after a certain time. Thanks!

Someone told you? Have you checked yourself? Can only imagine that's for the bar. The Broadway Lounge inside the Marriott is another option. It's only on the 8th floor so not as dramatic a view, but still of Times Square. Don't think you can prebook.
Are you looking for food more entertainment? |
I called....No minors after 9:00PM. Not sure what I'm looking for. Just know the teenagers will probably want to do something after and I wouldn't mind a drink (since I'm also taking my 80 yr. old mother)!

Did you check on rules for the Broadway lounge? How about some cheesecake at Junior's and then over to Top of the Rock or Empire State building? If you don't mind leaving the neighborhood and want more entertainment, Cafe Wha is popular with families.

you can go wait at the stage door after the show to see the performers come out and get their autographs before you head on.

There is a fun place called Ellen's Stardust Diner at the corner of Broadway and 51st Street. No view, but the waiters are all aspiring actors who take turns singing Broadway hits while you eat/drink. Would be suitable for the whole family.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. We are going to Ellen's prior to Mamma Mia. Junior's sounds right up their alley and close to the hotel.

I second the Ellen's recommendation. A friend who lives in NY took us there and then I went back a second time when dd and I were in NYC. I will also say to stay afterwards. My dd said she "did not want to" and then was THRILLED to do it. We have photos from Hairspray with her with the cast. They were wonderful!
