Affordable massage in Vegas?

I often get a massage when traveling, and I was hoping to do so when my husband and I go to Vegas next week. I know massages can be spendy in travel destinations, but I nearly fell off my chair when I saw a 50-minute massage costs $150 at the Encore Wynn spa. The other hotel spas appear to have the same price. I've called a few and the only 'special' available is for nevada residents. Boo.

Any ideas where I can get a decent massage for ~$100/hour? I'll be staying at the Encore and won't have a car, so it does need to be near the strip. TIA!

you might try craigslist under services.... you'll have to sort through all the riffraff there but I've been able get massages for under $50/hour.

Hotels have a captive audience, so not surprising to see that rate. Going outside the confines of your hotel or others can be "iffy" :) But no harm checking as there must be places where locals go other than at hotels.

http://www.djanelspa.com/index.php - I went several years ago on my birthday and got a 90 min hot stone massage for $120. It was a great experience. They were running a bit behind schedule and gave me a free bath before my massage to make up for it. Plus when he found out it was my birthday he prepared some strawberries and whip cream free of charge and let my bf and I enjoy them alone. It was really a great experience.
When I went several years ago they were about 20min from the strip. It seems they have changed locations and the site says they are 2min from the MGM grand. Their prices have went up since I was there but it is $90 for a 50 min Swedish massage. Hope this helps!

Thanks, everybody! I pretty much ran out of time to schedule anything fancy, but I got a really nice chair massage at the Fashion Show mall and a good strong foot massage at a vendor in the Hawaiian market (?). No ambiance or pampering, but my muscles were happy and each cost me less than $20.

For future reference, I did see a coupon for a spa massage in the little coupon books in the taxis.
