Hello again and thank you for more helpful tips! My schedule is always evolving...it's more of a flexible structure rather than appointments since I am on vacation...or rather traveling!...after all.
I thoroughly enjoyed Hearst Castle and each of the 4 tours I took. I met 1 person who wished the tour included more so you didn't have to book multiple ones to get the entire experience. I think they try to limit most tours to an 1 - 1 1/4 hrs. I took 3 tours yesterday and then retreated to rest at my hotel which had amazing firepits outside and had s'mores for dinner!
Finished at Hearst this AM and had to see the elephant seal rookery which was awesome. Not much action in November but lots of females relaxing and did see 1 flipping sand. It looked like at least 1 male off-shore vocalizing and either cavorting w/ a female...or 2!...or another male. Stopped by Sebastian's General Store...loved the Post Office!...for a burger of Hearst cattle beef...huge and delish.
I was trying to make the Reagan Presidential Library today but realized time was too tight so I re-organized and hoped to make La Brea Tar Pits. W/ traffic into LA, I didn't arrive until 5 so more change of plans...cked into hotel and went for a walk to the Chinese & Dolby theaters and Walk of Fame. Reminded me of Times Square! I have Warner Brothers Studio Tour in AM, bus tour in PM of Hollywood homes and sign, and recommendation of farmer's market for dinner.
I'm going to La Brea Tar Pits as I leave LA and backtracking to Simi Valley for the Reagan Library - it just has worked out that way. I met a family who also suggested the Huntington Library and I love the CA beaches so if I have time before heading to San Diego I will ck those out. I plan to stop by the Mission at San Juan Capistrano on the drive to SD also.
Whew! And thanks again!

Highly highly recommend the Huntington. The gardens are spectacular, the library contains an unbelieveable number of important (original) items, and there's Gainsborough's Blue Boy in the museum. What more could you ask.
