Hawaii is nice year round...
Please be patient with our posters... they are older and often get confused... they are also very grumpy... write slowly and use simple words.... |
I want to register an objection to gary's post. I think the grumpiness and confusion run across all generations here.

Hawaii doesn't really have an off season to speak of, it is pretty much warm and sunny year round.
If you do two islands and have chosen Maui as one then I'd definitely do Oahu. If three I'd add Kauai. |
My choices for two islands would be Oahu and Kauai and if three, I'd add Maui LOL. I just think Kauai is the very definition of "tropical paradise".
|
OK OK I get it, Florida AND Hawaii.

If you go to Hawaii in February, stick to the southernmost islands for best weather. I can rain a lot in Kauai in February.
|
It can rain in Kaui in Feb, but my experience was that rain would blow across the island and it would still be sunny and warm. That is why Kauai and Oahu are more lush, green and beautiful. :)
The south side of both islands especially on Kauai are much dryer. |
I have found more rain in Hawaii in both January and February than other months. There are always flowers, but they seem to increase in March. (I once lived on Oahu for a year and have been back a number of times. It's a happy place for me.)

We were on Kauai for a week one February, and it poured rain everyday. DH and I tried to snorkel wearing wetsuits, and we lasted about 15 minutes. Too cold.
The second week we went to the Big Island, where we had great weather. |
