Advice For Harper's Ferry, Antietam Trip?

We're spending a day in the area--arriving early on a Sunday. What do folks recommend we not miss? Anyone use the self-guided CD auto tour of Antietam?

Other stuff to do around the area--Shepherdstown, Sharpsburg.

What about restaurant recommendations? Good, casual local places--Sunday brunch?--we're traveling with 11-12 year old children, so nothing fancy.

I did the Antietam self-guided tour with my wife and six children last October and enjoyed it immensely. Nearby, there is a small cavern called the Grottoes that your children might enjoy. My wife and I visited the Grottoes when we were first dating over twenty years ago. Antietam is blessed to be away from most of Washington's suburban sprawl. For food for the children, you might have a better slection in Frederick.
