Adventurous tours (i.e. ATV) near Sonoma and San Fran, CA?

I have been searching online and am having difficulty finding what I am looking for!

My husband and I are spending 3 nights in San Fran and 4 in Sonoma this upcoming October. We love outdoor activities and I was thinking of booking an ATV tour, rafting or other adventurous activities.

Any recommendations? Thank you!

Why would you think we would have ATV tours here?

For rafting, you need to head to the Sierra Nevada or far Northern California. However, most companies shut down in September and river flows are at their lowest in October.

There's ziplining in Occidental and sea kayaking in Tomales Bay. There's paddle boarding out of Sausalito. Many places have segway tours.

I found a few ATV tours in wine country - I am just not sure which companies are reputable.

I am looking for personal recommendations from anyone who may have participated in any adventure tours. Thank you.

Thanks Otis for the suggestions!

What ATV tours have you found? Some wineries offer off-road experience in 4-wheel drive all terrain vehicles. They tend to be expensive.

Winecountryboat.com - looks like fun, 4 passenger ATV/water vehicle

Sonomacanopytours.com - ziplining

go-california.com also lists a bunch of companies that have various tours

I am just looking for something a little different to do while we are visiting - it's not a must-do, just an idea of something I could surprise my hubby with!
