Definitely drive a few hours to Sedona and then on the Grand Canyon for sights you'll never forget!

If it's your first time in Arizona, why would you go to San Diego or Las Vegas? Seeing the sights in Arizona could keep you busy for weeks!

I've been to San Diego, Las Vegas, Sedona and the Grand Canyon and completely agree that Sedona and the GC are the best places to see! We went to the GC and Sedona last fall, and found them both wonderful. It's an easy drive from Phoenix to Sedona, which is worth a few nights' stay. Then you could go on to the GC. We stayed 4 nights (at El Tovar). I'd recommend staying several nights. Of course, everyone is different... but I haven't found a person yet who thinks these 2 places are not wonderful. Hope this helps.

Do you have children? Depending on ages, Legoland outside San Diego is a great time for kids. My husband and I also loved it. Then there is Sea World, the Wild Animal Park...lots to do. Las Vegas with older children or adults only is fun. We don't even gamble, but loved viewing the different hotels and seeing some of the shows.
