North Carolina is a right to work state.

I've been to stage productions at UNC and Duke and there's a bit in the back of the program about various acting unions. It might be for the students to earn their union cards though.

I wouldn't move anywhere without a job first, but that's just my opinion (and I've said to just about every person asking about moving to NC -- and that's a lot of people).

Maui, Shane and especially Birdi, Thanks so much. I will research Orlando today and I did call SAG and right to work is most of the south. Never been to Orlando, my kids would like it, if even just for a vacation. One of my children has autism so I am REALLY looking into North Carolina, good services and I remember driving thru and thinking it was just beautiful! my seven year old talks about it all the time. The acting is just fun for my little one, I realize its just extra money for her. But Birdi BIrdi thanks so much for the positive post, you hit it right on the nail. Its funny thou sometimes when someone really wants to insult you like that, you have to step back laugh and think, maybe I do need to improve! I will work on that..Honestly what I wanted to tell Star... was after dealing with autism I can handle anything!!
