activities-4-less discount company

I am starting to look for activities for our may honeymoon and found this web site called www.maui-activities.com. The prices are the best I have found so far. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with them before and are they reputable? Do you have to do a timeshare to get those prices? I do plan to call them but wanted everyone elses opinion just in case. Thanks

yes, we dealt with this company when we went to Maui last year: specifically for a trip to Molokini and for horsebackriding. very nice and professional and no timeshare pushing. i would say give them a try.

I just called them and they told me that there is a two hour time committment that can be done at any time during your stay. They were kind of busy and told me to call back a little later for more information, so I guess I will do that to see if there is any way around the presentation. Has anyone else dealt with them? Did you do the presentation? To the last poster, are you sure you used the same company? Thanks

My SIL used them to save bank on the Trilogy trip to Lana`i for 6 people. They chose the breakfast timeshare pitch option, went early, had free continental breakfast, told the sales person "NO" and wer back at their condo before the kids woke up for the day. To them it was worth it because they saved so much.

We talked about them just blowing the demo off, but I think they said that A4L took their CC# and would charge the difference if they failed to attend a timeshare meeting.

I was at maui last summer and did alot of research over the internet. if u check ebay, sometimes they have great offers. from my experience, if u dont do a trilogy excursion, any other excursion is the same. I didn't know A4L offers trilogy, if i had known, i would have gotten the discount. it's really hard to get discount for trilogy, i recommend to do a budget snorkel excursion and try a trilogy. that's what i did, and to this day, i'm still reminiscing the trilogy experience. the crew was awesome, the cinnamon buns were unforgettable, and u get to wash off with fresh water on teh boat.
some of the excursions are really really cheap, and there are always a reason why it's so cheap. i saw some ships fully packed, i would say there were about 100 ppl on it. that's horrible.
also, trilogy has great snorkel spots at lanai and molokini. i did the molokini with trilogy, next time in maui, i will definitely go with them to lana'i.
hope taht was helpful. try ebay for other great offers. one time i saw a trilogy to lana'i on ebay for $100 pp. that's a pretty good deal, tehy usually charge $200. they also have a website, www.trilogy.com.
have fun. i loved maui and i'm so envious that you're going there.

kalunchi, it may not have been Trilogy, now that I think of it. I don't thin she ever mentioned the company, just that they saved a lot of $$ on an all-day trip to Lana`i, that included snorkeling, some beach time on Lana`i and a barbque lunch. I'm really not sure what companies do that kind of trip, but just automatically thought of Trilogy. Whoever it was, they saved a great deal and still rave about the trip.

usfgator: yep, i'm sure it was the same company. what i remember is being told that IF we wanted to sit through a presentation the cost of our activities that we were booking would be even LESS, but we declined and there was no further discussion about it. sorry if i was vague before!

Thanks stella for clarifying. Well i finally spoke to them and got the full story. They actually are the same company as www.cutrateactivities.com which has an updated price list. You have to attend a 2 hour time share presentation in lahaina which is in the morning during any time of your vacation. Tickets have to be picked up from their lahaina office. Now if you are willing to do a time share presentation, you first have to qualify. You either need to own a home and make combined income of 65,000 or not own a home and make 125,000. I do not meet both so cannot qualify for the presentation. So they basically said that they then can give me a 10% discount off of retail prices on all my activities without a time share presentation. This is a bummer because the prices on their website are unbelievable and definately can save alot of money if you are willing to attend and qualify for the timeshare presentation. Well I hope this helps everyone out and thank you for all the replies.

usfgator,

I appreciate you sharing your research. I am headed to Maui in April and find this info quite beneficial. Will let you all know the outcome.

Thanks again.

u guys should try ebay, they have alot of great deals on activities in maui. and if u go to google or yahoo and search "maui activities", u will come up with alot of results. alot of them dont require u to do a timeshare. but of course, when u go pick up the tickets, they'll try to lure u to do a timeshare and offer u the activities for FREE. but u absolutely dont have to go to the timeshare, just stay firm and pay for the activity. it's still a bargain b/c it's still a fraction of the original price. let me know if u need any help. btw, that's how i booked all my activities, except for the trilogy b/c it's almost impossible to find discounts for trilogy.
