Accomodations in Torrey, UT

Any recommendations for a good place to stay for one night in Torrey?

I realize that my more precise question is whether we are better off staying at the Capitol Reef Best Western just outside the park, or is it more fun to stay at Austin's Chuckwagon in town? We will be hiking in the park, then staying overnight, then heading to Moab, so we'd have to backtrack a little to stay over in Torrey itself. Will this amount to much?

No pool but very clean and friendly, and GREAT views.

Thanks, will look at that if we decide to stay in Boulder instead.

I am going this summer and I opted for Austin's Chuckwagon. We have two kids so I have a 2 bedroom unit reserved which will give us more space than most of the other hotels we are staying at on the trip.

We camp so I don't know which will be better lodgings, but driving time between Torrey and Capitol Reef is only 11 easy miles and it's a very scenic drive.

Utahtea,
excellent, that's exactly what I needed to know. I think we will go for the Chuckwagon then, since it will be more roomy for our family of 5. You guys are SOOOO helpful! I have made so many decisions re this trip based on the comments on this site!

A question for clarkgriswold... I've read on the forums here that Boulder View Inn has "thin walls". How would you rate the noise level? I'm tearing my hair out over the thin wall possibility, or the noisy plumbing that Capitol Reef Inn & Cafe may have (according to a trip log I read). TIA!

When we were there I didn't notice, there was nobody next door. It was indeed a recently-built motel, and the walls aren't very thick these days.

Even if it is noisy, the view is worth it.
