I am going 49ers v Giants on Nov 12 and LA Lakers on 19th of November,

What are your team or sports plans for San Diego? We have a national league baseball team (The Padres) but their season is over. And our football team (The Chargers) moved to LA (thank goodness) :))

I have no sports event planned for San Diego yet. We will be in San Francisco for Thanksgiving. Any recommendations for that day?

In November there is excellent horse racing at Del Mar, about 20 miles north of San Diego. You can get a round-trip by train & shuttle for only $11.

Sounds like you might be too late for the Breeder's Cup races at Del Mar on Nov 3&4. It is world class.

The racing for the rest of the month is very good and definitely worth a visit if it interests you.

I thought the Del Mar horse races were for a limited time in July and August. Who knew! And the races are a lot of fun. I recommend it if they are running.

It is called the Bing Crosby Meet at Del Mar. They started it after Hollywood Park closed :'( on Dec 22, 2013. So, this will be the 4th fall meeting and the 1st time Dmr hosts the Breeder's Cup.
