accomodation close to Caesars Palace

We're planning to see Elton John's show at Caesar's on April 1st. Does anyone know of a hotel that's fairly close to Caesar's that's not over $150/night? Within 2 miles? Thanks

travelinwifey Mar 26th, 2005 10:34 AM

Harrah's, Imperial Palace, O'Sheas across the street.

travelinwifey Mar 26th, 2005 10:39 AM

Oops, I think O'sheas is just a casino.

O'Sheas is just a casino, associated with Flamingo which is both hotel and casino.

icygreg - Most strip hotels (except those at the very north and very south ends) would be within 2 miles, but really most of them would be within 0.5 mile or so. Here's a strip map:

Check out the hotels near Caesar's and go to each of their web sites to check rates.

That's a tough one, since that's the beginning or ending weekend of spring break for many. Also, most of the strip hotels may have 2 or 3 night minimum stays. Your best bet (for your budget) would be to try the individual hotel chain web sites, such as Travelodge, Days Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. On one last-minute trip to LV during a busy convention weekend, I stayed at the Fairfield Inn one block off the strip for $99. You might have to start calling around at this late date.

We saw Elton John at Caesar's in July, and really enjoyed it. One warning-- don't go into the theater thirsty. A few ounces of wine in a plastic cup costs $15, and a bottle of water cost $8.

Have fun! :)

I forgot to mention the Barbary Coast too...

Wow. You picked a tough weekend. It looks like everything is either sold out or very over-priced. Good luck.

All of these are within a mile...do you just need the one night?

Gold Coast is a pretty far trek off the strip, it's next to the Rio and across from the Palms. I wouldn't walk it, too much traffic.

Another consideration would be the Westin Causarina, a lot of people win it on Priceline. It's recently been downgraded to a 3*, biddingfortravel.com has more details.

Thanks everyone. Guess I'll try all your suggestions until I find the right one.

We will be there only the one night.

There's a motel6 about 6 miles from Caesar's out on Boulder Highway for $59, and you should book it now while checking for something better.
When the Econo Lodge on DirtCrud blvd in Vegas is asking $209 a night, you know you've picked a bad weekend.

Enjoy the show -- it's great! Say hi to Nigel!

i've stayed at the super 8 on koval many times. it's a clean, basic motel with friendly staff. a short walk to ceasures.

We couldn't get a room at the Barbary Coast for a couple of extra nights we wanted to stay. Nothing was available on short notice on the Strip but we discovered the Super 8 on Koval. We checked in at the Super 8 on Koval Lane. It was just a short walk (about one block) to the middle of the Strip when Caesar's is located.
