Accomadations close to Anchorage Airport
We will be getting in very late in the evening from our flight from Louisiana. What hotel in Anchorage would be very close, have a shuttle, and reasonable priced? Thanks.

I donot remember the price, but some years ago we stayed in the Best Western Barratt Inn in Anchorage. They have an airportshuttle. You can check availability and rates at www.bestwestern.com

Check out TripAdvisor before you decide. BW Barratt rates 44 out of 65! I initially had reservations there a few years ago for the early flight but changed because of bad reports. But I CANNOT remember which hotel we stayed in! It was it town and had a shuttle to the airport.

I've stayed several times at the Mariott Fairfield Inn on Intl Airport Road and "A" Street. They have a shuttle and it's about five minutes from the airport. There have been mixed reviews about it on this board but I have have good luck with it. It's an honest 2 1/2- 3 star hotel and is priced accordingly, for the area.

We have reservations at the Aspen Hotel. They have shuttles from the airport and to the train station.

Well BudgetQueen, concerning prices, I guess somewhere between $150-170.Since we are getting in so late and leaving early on the train to Denali-we'll just have time for breakfast, then out the door.We just want something comfortable. Thanks

You will love Alaska! We were there last May/June, and we're from Louisiana also. We really liked the Fairfield, which is new, had great rates, and is reasonably near the airport. Enjoy your trip!
