? About Sold Out Shows... NYC

I really would love to take my daughter to see Spamalot when we head to the City this June.
but, of course I waited way too long and all the dates are sold out.
What might be my best bet for finding some tickets for the show?

Thanks.

Try craigslist or ebay.

Or a hotel concierge. Prepare to pay big bucks.

or try applause-tickets.com

NO matter which option(s) you choose, be prepared to probably pay big bucks.

Have seen lots of tickets at the on-line ticket brokers - you shouldn;t have any trouble finding some for your date - if you really want to see it enough. Generally they're charging two to three times face value.

You may do better on e-bay - just make sure the seller is legitimate (has no reports of non-delivery).

Now, I'm not recommending this to anyone, since it angers me. However mrlou and I went to the boxoffice day of matinee and got obstructed view seats. What angers me is that they were full price, and they were certainly obstructed. Completely inethical. But seeing the show was important to us, so we paid full price, saw most of the show very up close and to the side, and would do it again. But word is getting out so get there early.

I've used Broadway Cares many times; they always come up with tickets for me; it's double the face value but you get a tax receipt for half of it-

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Will try a few of these places, but I rather pick another show than pay 3xs the regular price.

Guess the early bird really does get the worm at times !

Yes, and of course in this case the early bird also gets the Spam!

I love Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. They have come through for me with great house seats (4th Row Center) for sold out shows. At twice face value, they are still a bargain (over scalpers prices) and all money above the ticket price is a donation to the AIDS Foundation - a good cause and tax deductable.
