A nice restaurant in NY on Christmas Day
 

Hi,<BR>We are doing exactly what the mayor has asked us to do, we are heading out for the Christmas holidays in NYC. I would like a special place to eat on Christmas for my family of 3 including myself. We are staying at the NY Hilton Towers and would like something close by, any recommendations?

Two questions that will help people point you in the right direction...<BR><BR>1. What is your price range?<BR><BR>2. Are you looking for traditional Christmas dinner or something different?<BR><BR>

I stayed at the Hilton in August. We ate at Shelly' s, it is a seafood restaraunt with a huge rawbar...you get alot of food. We also ate at Broadway Joe's Steakhouse, also very good. The concierge should have a coupon for 10% off your meal.

I'm afraid you're probably not going to find many restaurants open on Christmas Day. Thus, I suggest you call the hotel, ask for the conciege and get his/her suggestions about where to eat that day.

Hotel restaurants will be open serving Xmas menu at inflated prices. Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Indian restaurants are open all over NYC on Xmas with regular menu

Try www.opentable.com - many restaurants do not accept reservations this far ahead on that website, though, but there are quite a few possibilities.
