a little taste of Italian heaven in Philadelphia...
Burnt caramel flavor gelato at Capogiro.
I see that I shall have to be making pilgrimages to this place as a substitute for getting to Italy as often as I'd like. It's the real deal in a very cool corner shop; they've got good looking pastries, too, and La Colombe coffee, but the gelato was what stopped me in my tracks on a lovely 80 degree day.
Just another reason to visit Philadelphia!

Yeah, that's the place...bitter chocolate and blood orange sounds fab too....
I really think I love this city best in the spring!
(although there are certainly delights for every season, aren't there?)

I do love Philadelphia in the Spring.
I was blading on the Drive this weekend. The daffodils and cherry trees were blooming. There's a place near Montgomery Drive where the river curves gracefully and it's just breathtaking.
