A L O H A from Kauai!!! in progress report.......

Having a great time in paradise on my 2nd visit to the Garden Island.Islander on the Beach is nice, with the 3rd floor Ocean Front view.Wish the room was a little bigger, but the pool area,Lanai sunset views and great location make up it! Duke's Canoe club was great, along with BAR acuda in Hanelei for tapas in an cutting edge atmosphere.Have hiked, drove hwy 550 up the canyon-incredible views., Will check out the Farmers Market in Kapaa later today.Bull Shed was a great place for dinner too-tasty steaks and my Ono there was very good!....We like K-Mart for best selection of Kauai Souvineers at cheap prices.Back to paradise now, back to the mainland in a few more days! Aloha......

Randy, thanks for your report. Haven't been to Kauai for a long time so you're taking me back ... (well, sort of ... :D)

I second the wave web cam wave! My room there had plenty of room! Even a mini kitchen in the room (well, no stove top, but was not needed) & a large armoire for luggage/clothing.

Mine came with a mini-wife.

Alohaaaaaaaaa OSB ;;)

Back home in Georgia now.On our last night,we had to choose between a 2nd trip to Duke's or Gaylords in the Plantation for dinner-we went with Gaylords and were not disappointed.Upscale, and very classy,White linen tablecloth on the table,ect-we were seated in the courtyard. My mixed grill of fresh local fish was very good.SWMBO had a prime rib that she said was the best ever.Dessert and banana cream pie with a mac-nut/coconut crust.I thought nobody could beat Max-Erma's version but Gaylords did! Smooth flights back to LAX/ATL.Time to unpack now.And will start an ALOHA fund for the next trip!!!!
