A Hidden Gem
We just returned from a great weekend at The Avalon Inn and Spa located in Island Pond, Vermont. They are rather new. http://www.avalonvermont.com Excellent service from Innkeepers Samantha and Alex. Our massages, yoga classes, guided hike, hot tub, yummy breakfast, and charming Vermont rooms filled with antiques and down pillows and quilts were well appreciated. Everything was amazing. Regards, Al and Cindy

Al and Cindy -- you should repost this titled Hidden Gem in Vermont -- so it gets more notice. I'll bet you thought you were posting it under a "Vermont" banner, but it just shows up in the general forum here, with no way to know where you are referencing. Sounds like a neat place, BTW! Thanks

Thanks for your post. I will repost it. Yes, I thought it went under Vermont. This site is rather confusing.
Thanks again... Al |
I see you are a brand new poster here. Welcome. Is this the only place or thing you have ever experienced in your travels worth telling other people about? If you have anything else, please post that as well. Otherwise you are likely to be branded as an advertiser.

Is this the dump with the toilets that won't flush, the big gaps of light under the doors, and the dried out bagel breakfast?

Thanks Tim,
I have been to some great places. I will post those as well. Earl you must be mistaken.... Anyway, thanks for the note. |
We spent a weekend at The Avalon and it was lovely. We hiked on Bluff Mountain, Kayaked on a beautiful pond with loons, and saw a huge moose. The Avalon was extremely clean which is a huge thing to me. The Yoga was superb I think my boyfriend is a convert. I highly suggest The Avalon if you are going to Northern Vermont for a getaway.
