What do you mean by "unique" ceremony? Unique to me is on a sea kayak, next to a waterfall after a long hike, or 70 feet below water breathing on scuba tanks. :) You might get more helpful information by defining what you mean by "great" and "unique."

The best way to have a "great" wedding is to have one that clearly expresses what the bride and groom mean by their public declaration of commitment to one another. This is usually best done at a place that has clear meaning to the couple in stating how they feel about their new sense of commitment. If having a clown at a circus as the officiant best expresses how the couple feels, then I'd recommend a clown at a circus. Something like that would also declare to the guests, "The purpose of this ceremony is to allow me to say, 'Ha, ha: nobody else had a clown as the officiant. That makes my ceremony unique, which was the main purpose of my choice!'"

I say this as someone who will soon celebrate (and I do mean CELEBRATE) my 28th anniversary.
