A good, scenic motorcycle route from NH to VA?

I'm planning my first bike trip after my graduation to go visit some friends and such in Va. If anyone has a good non main routes(my bike is only a 250 and I wouldn't feel comfortable driving a long distance with heavy traffic at high speeds) to suggest that would be great.

If you use google maps, you can set your routing options to exclude highways, toll roads, and ferries. That would give you your best backroad options. Enjoy the ride!

We did a route like that the first year we had a camper. First, head to Keene NH then thru VT to Bennington. Not sure if you'll like the narrow curvy road over the mountain. Aim for Hop Bottom PA. Can't remember where we went next in VA but I googlemapped to Luray VA. We followed the mountains down to NC staying in campgrounds along the way.
