A Globus Tour?

My fiance and I are planning a honeymoon trip next year to the Grand Canyon, and I have heard that Tauck is the best. I have also looked into Colette and Globus because they are a little bit closer to our budget. Globus' trip sounds a bit better. Would anyone recommend or not recommend them? Thanks for your help! :)

While Tauck is reputed to be the best, Colette and Globus are certainly decent enough companies. I've heard that Colette may be somewhat better than Globus. But the real question would be, are you sure you want to go on a group tour for a honeymoon? How romantic will it be when you're constantly surrounded by strangers (who will probably be much older than you) and have a regimented schedule of meals & touring on a bus?

I went through Globus going to Portugal a few years ago and they were very good. The tour guide was very informative and personable and the itineraries that globus set up were equally good. the accomodations and restuarants were outstanding. I would highly recommend them!

Hb and I have done tours with Globus. One to Ireland,Scotland and wales. The other to the American South West ,two year ago, which included the Grand Canyon Both were wondeful ,till this day my HB stills raves how great the south west tour was.
I should add we are seniors but there were younger people and they were enjoying it immensely.I have found The Globus guides to be very knowledgeable and accomadating with out being intrusive.
One thnig we liked about the South West trip was if a meal was included you weren't required to eat in a group .You were able to choose the time convenient for you.
What ever you decide visiting the Grand Canyon is a magnificant, unforgetable experience

I took the Tauck Canyonlands tour years ago in May....when I was in my early 40s. I loved it. Fantastic hotels, all meals included, great guide, great group great sites. Loved that so much I also took the Tauck Canadian Rockies, Cariboo Heli-Hiking trip. Now that was FANTASTIC. Really exciting. Tauck takes care of everything. They are a super company. Worth every penny. All you have to worry about is getting on the bus on time.

You don't say where you are from, but if you are not from the US, or have not traveled much on your own, the tour is a great way to go. I have used Globus for 3 different tours and I have never been disappointed - nice guides, comfortable buses, very good hotels, and everything was as promised (or better!) Please plan on bringing some extra spending money (or a credit card) because Globus often provides you with some extra touring options that are not included in your original price. These tours are often things that would cost more to do on your own, or that would not be easily accessible on your own. Have a wonderful time and congratulations!

My niece just returned from the Grand Canyon/National Parks trip with Globus. She LOVED it. She said the tour guide was great, the accomodations were wonderful, and the people were fun.
