A Glimpse of Old Amsterdam in the New

Going into the subway after a long day of overtime work and depressed about not having any upcoming vacation plans, I came across a pleasant little surprise: a special S train covered in tulips, canal scenes, and Dutch painting. Instead of getting off at my destination, I remained on the train and rode back and forth several times between Times Sq and Grand Central to take photos.

Awesome. Much nicer than the trains I took. Did you figure out the occasion?

It seems to be an ad for Holland's tourist board.

Great - anyone know how long they are having it? Will try to find a reason to ride the shuttle this week.

When I want a "quick trip into nature in town" I visit the Joel Meyerwitz exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York
