A few NYC questions about 9/11 memorial tours and more.

Besides attending the opera, we’ plan to visit the 9/11 memorial the weekend we’re in NYC (beginning of October). We are considering one of the following two tours: Museum admission and Understanding 9/11 guided tour, or the 9/11 Tribute Center and tour of 9/11 Memorial. Are they similar, different, and would selecting both be redundant? Anyone taken either of them?

On a completely different note and in a different part of the city, does anyone have suggestions for a Sunday brunch in the area of The Circle in the Square Theatre? “Lady Day” was extended and now overlaps with the time we’ll be in town! We’ve booked our tickets for the final performance. Thanks.

ViceVersa (Italian) does brunch only on Sunday, and it's nearby. Thalia is also good for a more traditional brunch. If you like Mexican, Toloache is excellent. I like Eatery (kind of an upscale diner). You'll need reservations at all of these.

Of you could just go to Junior's, though you run the risk of having to wait a bit, but it's a huge place and not too terribly busy. However, they don't do "brunch" just breakfast at Times Square, and I think they only serve the breakfast menu until 10:30 (so you have to be seated by then).

I have enjoyed Vynl (http://www.vynl-nyc.com/) Fun atmosphere and fun food. Also Pigalle (http://www.pigallenyc.com/home.aspx). French bistro atmosphere and French food. Both only a block or two away but not touristy (IMO).

Thanks Doug and Laurie_ann. I'll check these places out. I'm sure one will work fine. Looking forward to NYC.

laurie_ann. An FYI . . . no reason for parentheses when you post a link. But if you do use them, you need to have a space between the url and the paren. Otherwise your links won't work

they are http://www.vynl-nyc.com and http://www.pigallenyc.com/home.aspx
