Counting again, I only have 10 full days for both islands. So 5 each? Going at the end of May.

I've heard mentions of getting a one-way inter-island ticket for $50 or less on Hawaiian airlines. The prices on their website look a lot higher. How to score a low price inter-island flight? On a safe and reliable airline that is.

Thanks, all!

Seems that on Hawaiian the lowest fares offered are $76. That's only $26 more than you wanted to spend, so go for it!!

2.5 years on Maui was just enough for me. Now I want to go back. there is plenty to explore. there is pretty much unlimited hiking and sightseeing. just be adventurous and start walking. if you are drivin to hana and go over a bridge, stop, start walkin up stream. you never know what you will find. I found it to be very safe. Just remember, you are a tourist, be nice to them first, the locals are wonderful people. They are just conditioned to the arrogant tourist. You will be suprised on how welcoming they can be.

Any of the beach parks in south kihei are great. just snorkel around the rocks in between the parks. I went to molokini once and wasn't very impressed. There are so many wonderful free snorkeling spots all around the island. in my opinion, there is no need to pay.

By mistake I booked for 11 days instead of 10. Yoohoo! 11 days for Maui and Kauai. So, the split should be 6 days on Maui and 5 on Kauai?

I better start doing research and reading trip reports. And please I'm all ear to advice and suggestions!

Thanks!
