7th or 6th arrondisement

I've decided to choose between these two. Originally, I was excited about the 6th but it seems like it's not exactly walking distance to many attractions.

I'm afraid that the metro sounds a bit confusing and I would prefer to walk quite a bit. Does this mean I'm better off at the 7th arrondisement?

Actually, I think of the 6th as closer walking distance to many attractions, it just depends on what you're talking about. About the only things I think of the 7th being closer to are the Eiffel Tower, Invalides (actually just as close from parts of the 6th) and Arch de Triomphe.

The 6th is closer to the Louvre, D'Orsay, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, Ile St. Louis, etc.

I think of the 7th as a bit "quieter" and more residential (of course depending on where you're staying), but at the same time that means quieter and fewer options in the evening.

Sorry I didn't know this was in the US forum. How do I move it to the one for Europe or should I just post another thread there?

Unfortunately, threads can't be moved, but definitely repost over there for more info. :)

Don't feel bad, I didn't realize it was the US forum when I answered it!
