Silver shoes AND gold shoes? Whatever for. In this day and age of metallics, surely you can figure out how to mix and match? Or, go to an inexpensive shoe store and buy a pair of sandels that have gold & silver together, or neutral, such as tan. If you have never been to vegas before than you have no idea how much walking you will be doing. It is huge distances from the rooms to the elevators, elevators through the casinos, casinos to the sidewalks/other casinos, and then more walking. I would buy 5 pair of different colored comfortable flip flops and be done with it.

I agree it's possibly an age thing--when I was young thing, I stressed over matching bags/shoes/jewelry, etc. A great pair of black shoes and black bag (and my good pearls) usually do the trick for just about anything these days!

Bring the shoes. I am positive that some day, if not this trip, he will be dragging along a set of golf clubs. SAn Paris, you never have? Tennis raquet? Fly pole?
As you get older you'll want to pare down your packing but for now just be your fabulous self and pack to look great.

I can relate so completely, it's frightening. I'm going to my nephew's baptism this weekend and will be gone for 24 hours. I'm bringing 3 pair of shoes - flat black sandals for the drive and dinner Saturday night; running shoes (can't leave home without those) and navy high heeled sandals for the ceremony on Sunday morning and lunch after. And, no, I can't wear the black sandals with the blue dress and I can't drive wearing the blue sandals and running shoes are only for running - I'm a stickler that way. Yes, my husband also thinks I am crazy (but he tolerates my insanity very well). Naturally, I'm bringing two purses with me, too.

Haha That makes complete and total sense to me! Don't worry, I sometimes bring 3 or 4 pairs of shoes just staying at my bf's place for the weekend, let alone on a trip.
I haven't even thought about purses yet....

Ha, great thread shortcake! I always make similar lists at similar times LOL. Just returned from an LA mom-daughter getaway and among my souvies is a somewhat sore shoulder from my carry on. Tried to lighten my checked luggage by putting shoes in the carry on - took 8 pairs (9 including my runners) and wore them all! DD took at least that many, too. Totally worth it

You've all lost your minds...
Here's the rule I use with my wife...
I pick the suitcases that we're going to take. She can fill them with whatever she wants. If that means 7 pairs of shoes, so be it.
The only caveat, I only get to pack in the space that she doesn't use. If that means I wear the same pair of shorts and t-shirt each week, we'll she could have taken fewer shoes!
