60 hours in LA
 

Hi,<BR><BR>We will be travelling through LA next year with a 60 hour stop over. We have two kids, 4 & 1 and a half. We land (ex Auckland) at 11.00am and leave in the evening two days later. <BR>I am looking for any suggestions for a family, especially for the full day we have in the middle.<BR><BR>Cheers<BR>David

Disneyland for the full day!

You don't mention where you are staying so some of these areas may be a bit far from your hotel. Disneyland is in Orange County, so you will need to rent a car. You could also go to Disney's California Adventure if you don't want to go into Disneyland. Universal Studios is also a fun day. How about the Aquarium of the Pacific? It's in Long Beach, so again you need a car. Santa Monica is nice for renting bicycles and riding the bike path along the ocean. The Third Street Promenade i Santa Monica is fun for browsing, but more for adults. Take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza. <BR><BR>Have fun.

stay at a hotel in aneheim and go to disneyland. the first day you will be tired so you could just relax around the pool. check out the "kid swap" they offer. since the 1 1/2 yr old may not be able to go on the bigger rides, mom can ride the the 4 yr old while dad holds the 1 1/2 yr old. then when your ride is done, the dad can jump in with the 4 yr old and you take the baby. that way you don't have to go back in line if you both want to ride and the 4 yr old can go twice. works real well.

You'll be able to do the L.A. zoo in the afternoon of your first day, it's relaxing and terrific. <BR><BR>The 4 year old will love Pacific Park, which is right at Santa Monica Beach. It'll be a good spot for the afternoon before your departure, as it is only 15 minutes from the airport.
