6 weeks in US - Grannie will travel!

Jump to last reply

I have to attend a function in Seneca Falls to celebrate the life of an ancestor of mine at the National Women's Hall of Fame. As a result I am considering coming from England for 6 weeks. This will be my first trip to the US.

I will fly into NY around 30th September as I need to see Brooklyn where my ancestors lived. Then I have to fly into Rochester on 8th October for the weekend. From there I have 12 - 16 October free and wonder if I should take a short coach tour to Columbus - Advice please.

I have to be in Columbus 16 - 19 October. I would like to visit Akron OH at some stage to visit descendants of Cornish people who emigrated over 100 years ago.

I would then be entirely free to go anywhere and everywhere until around 11th or 12th November - if I can afford it. I will be travelling alone. I'm in my mid-60s and I don't want to go Kayaking:-) I have travelled all over the world so am used to numerous countries.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
