6 months on the Big Island
 
My husband and I would love to spend 6 months on the Big Island. Our biggest concern is having a car to use for that time. Rentals seems high and we are wondering if there are any other options. What else should we take into consideration as we think about taking this new adventure?

For six months, I'd buy a used car and sell it when you leave. It'll be cheaper than a rental. You will need a car.
