50'th birthday
I am suprising my wife for her birthday and taking her to vegas. The night of her birthday I have tickets to Cirques-"O". Can anyone suggest a romantic restaurant for us. We have tickets to the 7:30 show. I have heard Mon Ami Gabi is very nice?? Would it be better to eat before or after show?
Thanks for any suggestions |
The restaurant in the Eiffel Tower in the Paris hotel is beautiful, romantic and convenient to the Bellagio where O is playing. It's expensive, but if you get a window table overlooking the strip, it's lovely and a very special experience. You definitely needs reservations, esp for a table facing the fountains. When to eat is personal choice. I'd prefer later because there's no deadline to get to the theater and I'd be more relaxed that way, but it that would probably not be until around 10. I'm sure if you ate early they'd have no problem getting you out by show time.

I really like Mon Ami Gabi, but if you can swing it financially, I would go fancier. I like the suggestion of the Eiffel Tower restaurant.

I agree with Eiffel Tower restaurant (very romantic) versus Mon Ami Gabi (which is deafeningly loud).

I'd recommend a late lunch and dining after the show, so you can take your time and relax. And, take the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower - the views, especially of the fountain shows at the Bellagio, are absolutely amazing!

Can't imagine having a romantic birthday dinner that starts at 5 in the afternoon! Definitely eat after. (Five is either for little kids or the over 80 set.)

Mon Ami Gabi is very nice, one of our all-time favorites, great food and wine selections, gracious service, not really romantic. Just a terrific place to have supper.
Wherever you choose to dine, do it after the show so that you do not need to gobble up the food and run. Anna Roz |
I personally, don't enjoy late dinners. My vote is for dinner before, and then go out after the show for dessert and/or an after dinner drink. And I'm not a little kid or over 80. :-)
