Thank you, everyone who replied to this. Great suggestions! Some options may be 'out' just because some of us have made those trips recently (Napa, for example) and another lives in Las Vegas. Other than that, this group is open to all ideas! I'd welcome any other thoughts - and thank you again so much.

How about VancouverBC..either the city or the island? The city has great food. beautiful scenery and lots to see and do. The island has everything from Victoria to magnificent out of the way spots? You might also consider the Gulf Islands such as Salt Spring.
