5 hours in Orlando, What should I do?

I will be staying in the Embassy Suites on business. My meeting ends at noon and my plane takes of at 7pm, I figure that gives me roughly 4-5 hours to explore and have fun. What should I do? All suggestions are appreciated.

Exactly which Embassy Suites?

There are several and it is important to know your location if you only have 4-5 hours available.

If you have a car you might ask the hotel where the nearest shopping outlet is. There are several VERY good outlets in the area and you can get discount coupons as well, so ask at the hotel, they may have them or ask at the center.

Have a great trip.

I am staying in the Lake Buena Vista Embassy Suites. Even though I love outlet shopping I can do that at home.

O.K., Here is something you probably can't do at home. Take an airboat ride at Boggy Creek Airboat Rides <http://www.bcairboats.com/locations.shtml>. at the East Lake Fish Camp location. It is right on the way to the airport and you can do it in the time you have. Be sure to take your camera!

If you are into thrills how about the worlds tallest skycoaster (similar to bungee jumping) in old town. They also have sling shot which shoots you up into the air. There is some fun shopping as well. IMO oldtown doesnt get enough credit.

I'll second the recommendation for old downtown, particularly the Lake Eola area.

Hmmm. panhandle and j_999_9, I'm not sure you are talking about the same thing. Correct me if I am mistaken, but I think panhandle is talking about old town (Kissimmee) and j_999_9 is referring to downtown (Orlando). Hence the reference to Lake Eola.

IMO, Lake Eola is worth a look and maybe a walk around the lake or a ride in one of the swan boats. I'm not sure it would be my first choice if I only had 5 hours to spend in the area.

You might want to go to Winter Park. It is so nice to walk around Park Avenue, and they have scenic boat tours, which show you the gorgeous tropical birds, plants, and huge mansions that line the lakes.
