Rex, you just reminded me that you're off to the Cape tomorrow. Have a great trip!

Best wishes to you

Rex.you are outstanding with info, first traffic is bad but go into historicals part pay 10 bucks to park .If you can drive into federal hill in PROV,thats where i grew up the food is better there than in Italy I promise one resturant is better than the other, that area is considered "little Italy" .Lots of fun . BLESS YOU ,My trip to Italy worked out well thanks to you Ira,love italy, and others.

Rex - I'm flying in and out of Providence in a few weeks and wondered if you got to Newport. Is it worth attempting if you only have a few hours?

I did, and I want to return for several days. As others forecasted, traffic was bad. But there is a LOT to like. Lunch, one mansion (we went to Doris Duke's Rough Point) and a few art galleries - - that's doable in four hours.
